Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is currently sourcing an air OR ocean export coordinator for our client in the College Park Area. THis role will process air or ocean export shipments complete from start to finish ensuring excellent customer service at all times. This role will be responsible for maximizing revenue and profit potential of all export opportunities in addition to providing excellent customer service and regulatory requirements.

*Full time- 35 hour work week

*Hybrid opportunity- 3 days in office 2 days remote

Responsibilities:
  • Process air export shipments.
  • Enter and follow-up on international air export shipments.
  • Multitask and provide the highest quality of customer support while developing time sensitive and cost effective routings/quotations.
  • Develop relationships with a large and diversified customer base.
  • Review documentation for compliance of any and all shipment documentation.
  • Prepare air freight quotations and make transportation bookings.
  • Arrange shipments as per customer instructions following customer SOP and liaise with relevant departments to meet required deadline and service requirements.
  • Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure export processes are completed in compliance with TSA, IATA, BIS regulations and procedures.
  • Be available to serve outside of business hours, holidays and weekends, as required.
  • Monitor shipments and update all tracking information in the company's systems.
  • Ensure customs entries are completed correctly as per customer instructions.
  • Arrange shipments as per customer instructions following customer SOP.
  • Ensure company meets required deadlines and KPIs set by customer.

  • Handle warehouse inventory dispatches within the specified deadlines.
  • Raise invoices to customer within agreed KPI.
  • Review each file once invoice has been raised to ensure correct costing and sales tariff used.
  • Identify areas to maximize profitability by proactive file management
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships alongside customer solutions and any other relevant departments.
  • Understand individual customer needs and requirements.

Requirements:

  • 4-8 Years in Freight Forwarding industry ONLY
  • Must have prior experience managing shipments from A-Z
  • Must have minimum 4 years of experience in negotiating rates and
  • Ability to communicate and provide great customer service
  • Being able to work independently and part of a team
  • Knowledge of local and international carriers and routes
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Outgoing and forward-thinking mindset
  • Ability to navigate and work efficiently using TMS software (paperless environment)
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills (verbal and written)
  • Exceptional listening, verbal, and written skills
  • Detail oriented, Self-motivated, Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to learn and retain information to build core industry related skills.
  • Must know how to use and organize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (Cargowise enterprise system REQUIRED)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Must provide industry references
