Whatley Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Medical Billing and Coding Agent to join our growing healthcare team.

The Medical Billing and Coding Agent is responsible for filing insurance claims to appropriate insurance companies and accept charges from the Electronic Health Record. Additional duties include (but not limited to):

• Submit accurate claims to insurance companies in a timely manner.
• Gather all pertinent information for preparation of claims submission.
• Utilize appropriate CPT, ICD10 and HCPCS codes used to file claims.
• Assist patients with questions and billing issues.
• Enter information in the computer system as appropriate, such as patient account information, charges, additional insurance information, etc.

Qualifications - Education, Training, Experience and other Requirements:

• Certification as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist or experience working within the field of Medical Billing/Revenue Cycle is required.
• Must have a working knowledge of filing insurance claims and billing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills to promote teamwork and the ability to work independently.
• Strong knowledge of basic computer functions and the ability to learn new computer applications.
