Custodial/Janitor at Haltom City with 1 Stone Solutions

Full Time : Monday - Friday 40 Hours a week + OT when needed on Emergencies

Hourly Rate: $16 - $21 / Hour Based on Experience. 

Location: Haltom City, TX

Job Summary: 

· As a successful Electrical Helper, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, learning, and understanding the electrical trade. You will work under the guidance of a Journeyman and/or Master Electrician assisting in the installation, alteration, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the educational environment.

· This is a safety sensitive position

Requirements:

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

· Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in an educational setting.

· Prepares work area for installation of equipment.

· Installs or helps install electrical components.

· Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.

· Keeps all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly and properly working fashion and the work area clean and always organized.

· Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.

· Always understands and complies with safety requirements.

· Produces quality of work that meets or exceeds National Electrical Code requirements and BISD standards.

· Maintains a positive attitude towards completing daily task while complying with all BISD and Facilities Management policies.

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Must meet BISD attendance requirements.

· Must be able to pass drug test and background check.

· Must be 18 year or older.

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

· Performs a variety of physical movements in performing the essential job functions such as: sits, stands, walks, kneels, crouches, squats, crawls, bends and twists, climbs, lifts items weighing up to 50 lbs.

· Is exposed to dirt and dust several times per week.

· Is exposed to extreme temperatures and wetness/humidity seasonally.

· Is exposed to noise, vibration, fumes, and odors several times per month.

· Is exposed to electrical hazards daily and mechanical and fire hazards several times per month.

· Work is in both an inside and outside environment.

Minimum Education, Experience and Certification:

· High school diploma or equivalent is required.

· Additional training beyond high school in four years electrical apprenticeship is recommended.

· Requires obtaining and/or renewing annually a state approved Electrical Apprentice License (must be licensed in TX). *** Employee has a 6-month window to complete ***

· Requires valid Texas Driver's License, Class C.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Knowledge of the equipment, tools, and material used in the electrical trade.

· Ability to legally perform duties of Apprentice Electrician in safe and effective manner.

· Ability to use a boom lift and testing devices.
