Salary:

As a Financial Analyst at Luana Savings Bank, you will play a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting efforts. You will analyze financial data, assist in preparing reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for individuals with strong analytical skills and a passion for finance looking to build their expertise in the banking industry.

This individual should have the ability to exercise extreme organization, multitask, and have a strong comfort level working in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines when required. This individual should be able to work both independently and with a team as needed. Reports to the CFO and/or Controller.

(This position is open to entry- to mid-level candidates, Polk City location only.)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting to support business objectives.
• Analyze and support financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
• Assist in the preparation of routine reports for management, Board of Directors, and related committees.
• Support Asset and Liability Management (ALM) efforts.
• Assist in the investment portfolio monitoring and reporting.
• Collaborate with various teammates and departments to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Follow all established policies, procedures, and regulations.
  

Required Skills

• Minimum of an Associate's Degree in a related field such as Finance, Accounting, Economics.
• Proficiency in financial statements and analysis, budgeting, forecasting principles, data interpretation, and reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
  
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly attentive to detail and accuracy with excellent organizational and time management skills for optimized efficiency.
• Ability to promote Luana Savings Bank to our surrounding area.
• Professional appearance and behavior at all times, contributing to a positive work environment.
• Reside within a 20 mile radius from the Polk City or willing to relocate - please include location/relocation details in cover letter or resume submission.
• All teammates work Saturdays on a rotating schedule.

Desired Skills

• 6+ months experience in a finance-related role at a financial institution.
• Experience in Jack Henry core systems (Silverlake, Xperience, Cognos).
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Finance, Accounting, Economics.
• CFA, CPA, or progress toward relevant certifications is a plus.

Additional Info

• At-Will, Full-Time position based on 40 hours per week - when scheduled on a Saturday compensating time off is given during the week worked.
• Schedule is 8AM-4:30PM M-F; 8AM-11AM Sat.
• Travel: Minimal for occasional training.
• Employment is subject to background and credit check.
