Position Overview:The Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader plays a critical role in the daily operations of Edge Landscapings Maintenance Department. This position involves both supervisory responsibilities and hands-on fieldwork, ensuring that scheduled landscape maintenance services are delivered on time, within scope, and to company standards. The Crew Leader must be capable of guiding and motivating crew members, managing resources, addressing on-site issues, and maintaining excellent client and team relations. The ideal candidate will lead by example, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and promote a safe and positive working environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead a crew of 26 team members in daily landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, and general property cleanup.Ensure all crew members follow company safety protocols, operational procedures, and personnel guidelines.Confirm all necessary equipment, tools, and materials are available and properly maintained for each job.Make field-based adjustments in response to changing conditions, client feedback, or material availability.Provide hands-on training and supervision, modeling professionalism and efficiency at all times.Foster a productive, safety-conscious, and team-oriented work environment.Follow job specifications as directed by Account Managers and Operations Managers.Operate landscape equipment safely and effectively, including trimmers, edgers, mowers, blowers, shovels, and pruning tools.Track time accurately by clocking the crew in and out and maintaining punctual property visit times.Maintain a clean and professional appearance of job sites, vehicles, trailers, and crew uniforms.Ensure all equipment is properly secured for transport and report mechanical issues promptly.Remove and tag damaged or unsafe equipment for service.Represent the company in a courteous and professional manner with clients and the general public.Adapt to a variety of working conditions and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.Load and unload trucks and trailers as needed.Comply with all company policies and support a drug-free, respectful workplace.Qualifications:Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory role within the landscape maintenance industry.Full physical mobility including standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and walking for extended periods.Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.Demonstrated leadership ability and strong communication skills.A valid drivers license with a clean driving record is strongly preferred.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive hourly wage of $21.00 $25.00, commensurate with experienceWeekly payroll with Direct DepositMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance options (eligibility after 90 days)Six (6) paid holidays and a PTO program based on years of serviceTake the next step in your landscaping career with Edge Landscaping where leadership, quality, and professionalism come together.
