We are seeking a Research and Development Specialist to work for our Oil and Gas client.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Ensure a safe R&D laboratory environment by actively participating in safety initiatives and protocols.
• Follow best practices for lab notebook maintenance, data storage, and data backup.
• Conduct and maintain accurate inventories of laboratory chemicals and consumables.
• Safely handle hazardous chemicals and gas canisters in accordance with safety standards.
• Maintain organized lab storage systems, ensuring materials are properly labeled and stored.
• Perform chemical reactions, purifications, and chemical fillings, strictly adhering to established procedures and documentation protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current college student majoring in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Excellent communication and computer skills, with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
• Strong teamwork skills and solid understanding of lab safety principles.

Must-Have Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with water- and moisture-sensitive chemicals.
• Hands-on experience working inside glove boxes or similar controlled-atmosphere equipment.
