We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Billing Associate to join our team and help support our billing department as we continue to grow.Position Overview: The Medical Billing Associate is responsible for managing the billing process for the services provided to our clients. This includes submitting claims to insurance companies, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, resolving any billing issues, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess a solid understanding of medical billing procedures, particularly with Medicaid and other health insurance plans.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, review, and submit accurate claims to Medicaid, private insurance, and other payers.Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare billing regulations, including Medicaid billing requirements and coding standards.Verify patient insurance information and ensure accurate coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure proper documentation for claims and avoid denials.Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any billing discrepancies or denials.Communicate with insurance providers, clients, and families regarding billing issues, payment statuses, and required documentation.Maintain accurate patient billing records and update them as needed.Handle inquiries from patients and clients regarding billing questions or concerns.Process payments and record them accurately in the system.Assist with financial reports and billing audits when necessary.Stay updated on changes to billing and coding practices, regulations, and payer requirements.Requirements:Proven experience in medical billing, preferably in a healthcare or home healthcare setting.Knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and billing systems.Familiarity with Medicaid and insurance claim processes.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.Proficiency with medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Billing, or a related field is preferred.Certification in medical billing (e.g., CBCS, CPAs) is a plus.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement plans.Paid time off and holidays.Opportunities for career growth and development in the healthcare field.
