As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in Clearwater, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a government location by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to incidents as needed, all while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. This position is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared and professional at all times. DayTimeWed06:00 AM - 04:00 PMThur06:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or unusual activities according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public, staff, and visitors at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
