MongoDB’s mission is to empower innovators to create, transform, and disrupt industries by unleashing the power of software and data. We enable organizations of all sizes to easily build, scale, and run modern applications by helping them modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash AI. Our industry-leading developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas, is the only globally distributed, multi-cloud database and is available in more than 115 regions across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. Atlas allows customers to build and run applications anywhere—on premises, or across cloud providers. With offices worldwide and over 175,000 new developers signing up to use MongoDB every month, it’s no wonder that leading organizations, like Samsung and Toyota, trust MongoDB to build next-generation, AI-powered applications.

The VP will ensure tight alignment with Sales, Product Marketing and Developer Relations, Product, and Revenue Marketing teams to deliver integrated go-to-market campaigns that accelerate pipeline and revenue growth.

The ideal candidate is data-driven and accountable for marketing ROI and brand health metrics, managing budgets and vendor relationships efficiently, while owning thought leadership initiatives that position MongoDB as an industry pioneer. This role demands a visionary marketer with a growth mindset, operational rigor, and a passion for storytelling that scales globally.

This role can be based out of our North America or EMEA corporate offices.

  • Editorial Content Factory Build and scale a high-output editorial content engine that powers thought leadership, customer stories, and brand narratives fueling engagement and market influence.
  • Customer Reference Marketing Strategically develop and amplify customer success stories as a core part of MongoDB’s multi-channel brand narrative. Use customer references to build credibility, deepen engagement, and fuel advocacy that supports integrated campaigns and executive storytelling at scale.
  • Events & Executive Keynotes Lead strategy and execution for marquee events and executive keynotes, ensuring MongoDB’s presence is powerful, memorable, and business-aligned.
  • Team Leadership & Development Inspire, manage, and grow a high-performing global team that scales with our rapid growth and constantly raises the bar on creativity, execution, and impact.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment Partner closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Product, Developer Relations, and Revenue Marketing to ensure messaging and campaigns are tightly integrated end-to-end.
  • Budget & Vendor Management Own the corporate marketing budget and vendor relationships, driving efficiency and maximizing ROI on marketing investments.
